Hello Friends Welcome to my Channel, this is Sandeep and, you are watching Electronic stuff

In this video we are going to understand about Drift and diffusion Currents so friends Drift current caused because of flow of electrons and holes due to applied external electric field and the net velocity attained by these charge carriers is the drift velocity, and, diffusion current is caused due to concentration gradient or concentration difference in a semiconductor, charged particles at higher concentration part has a tenancy to flow from region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration this process will cause the diffusion current to flow in that semiconductor
Device

And, total current in semiconductor is the addition of drift current + diffusion current
