I processed this sheep with just my razor blade knife (havalon) and popping / breaking joints. you too can process a full sized sheep without any fancy equipment. I used to just toss a rope over a tree branch and haul the sheep or goat over my shoulder, then tie off the rope to keep it in the air when I stepped out from under it. Now I've got this neat winch and I'm loving the ease at which I can raise and lower the carcass as I'm working on it. 🙌 unnecessary but MAN is it nice.

Dispatch and processing could not have gone better, very pleased with how her life was concluded.

She stayed perfectly still and allowed me to get a clean shot with my .22 Marlin causing instant brain death, followed by a swift throat cutting and wenching up the butcher stand to bleed out. I did catch some of the blood so I will be using that in the future.

The organs were harvested, the liver will be going into my son's blended formula mix next week. (Google "Weston a Price Foundation liver formula") The fat was gathered and will be rendered down and clarified for other uses. The pelt was saved and will be given to my taxidermy/pelt guy.

Her feet and skull were saved just for dog food later this week. The intestines and other guts were quickly scarfed up by the dogs and chickens during processing.

None of her will go to waste. ❤️ Thank you Sheba.

(Sheba didn't have an operational udder and therefore could not raise her own lambs.)
