In this video we save data to our database in Firebase using Firestore and we also setup database security rules so that only authenticated users can read and write to the database. We also look at how to store customer data for our users in our database and how to retrieve these custom values and fields. This video is meant to help anyone who needs to use the firestore database in Firebase. I intentionally use HTML without any framework to keep these videos as simple and easy as possible for beginners.

Firebase is a Back-end As a Service (BAAS) that is provided by Google as a layer in front of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) to help you get started with any back-end infrastructure you require, without having to think about servers and infrastructure setup.
