I watched a Grayscalegorilla tutorial about animating type with Cinema 4d in After Effects. I was curious to see how much of it I could replicate in Blender using Python.
It's almost all there, at least the principles are, more or less, I think, except for non-destructive text editing (I had to make the text into separate mesh objects and so I could apply different materials to the sides of the text). And of course it's not exactly live-editable in After Effects (where I added the background and vignette effects) without a re-render of the 3d scene from Blender.
The music is the result of about five minutes of pressing random things on an iPad.
