Inter School coding competition
The Inter School coding competition “Techtonics” was held on 23 November 2023 where we had 18 schools and more than 200 coding enthusiasts from different Emirates of the UAE. It created an atmosphere of challenge and creativity. This event was conducted in 3 categories to foster challenge, creativity, innovation and collaboration of students of various levels to showcase their prowess in solving the tasks and creating games.
Category 1 was Floor Planner, Category 2- Scratch Game and Category 3 - Tinkercad where students had to think out of the Box. They prepared codes to develop games through Scratch programming and others used their creativity and their innovation ability to showcase their talents through Floor plan designer and Tinkercad. This event fostered a sense of community and allowed students to gain valuable insights into the world of coding beyond the competition.
The Interschool Coding Competition succeeded not only in identifying and celebrating exceptional coding talent but also in promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. The Category 1 winners were Delhi Private School Sharjah, Category 2 winners were Pace International School, Sharjah and the Category 3 winners were Global Indian International School Dubai. These participants carried with them not just certificates and medals but an enthusiasm for coding and a broader perspective on its applications in the real world.
The overall winners were the Pace International School Sharjah who scored the maximum points to take the Trophy. The event served as a testament to the potential of young minds in shaping the future of technology.
