Replacing Front Panel Objects in LabVIEW
We can replace a front panel object with a different control or indicator without losing the label, caption, and value we set for the object.
We can complete the following steps to replace a front panel object.
1. Right-click a front panel object.
2. Select Replace from the shortcut menu to display a temporary version of the Controls palette.
3. Select a control or indicator on the temporary Controls palette to replace the current front panel object.
If we replace control with an indicator, LabVIEW preserves the dataflow direction of the original object and does not change the control to an indicator. If we replace an indicator with a control, LabVIEW does not change the indicator to a control.
