The map() function in Python is a built-in function that applies a function to each element of an iterable (such as a list or tuple) and returns a new iterable with the results.
The function argument is a function that you want to apply to each element of the iterable(s). You can also pass multiple iterables to the map() function, and the function should take as many arguments as there are iterables.
