In this Python tutorial, we will learn: Built-in function for string in Python. Python string startswith() method with examples.
The startswith() method returns True if the string begins with the substring passed to the method; otherwise, it returns False.
Syntax:
string.startswith(substring, start, end)
Parameter:
substring: The string to be searched for. This parameter is mandatory.
start: The index position to start the search. It is an integer. This parameter is optional. Default value is 0.
end : The index position to end the search. It is an integer. This parameter is optional. The default value is the end of the string.
