I looked into the implementation of a convolutional layer in pytorch. It is implemented as a matrix multiplication using im2col method. In this video, the focus is on (1) how convolution can be performed using matrix multiplication (2) creating a customized convolutional layer using im2col and comparing the output with pytorch Conv2d.
