Effective pump cooling is essential for preventing overheating of the motor, ensuring efficient motor operation, and maximizing the lifespan of the pump. In a closed loop cooling system, the cooling liquid is pumped up through a narrow space between the thin inner cooling jacket and the stator housing. The coolant is then circulated downwards between the inner and outer cooling jacket down to the cooling bottom. Finally, the coolant bottom transfers the heat from the coolant to the pumped media.
With a closed system there is no risk of sedimentation, which allows the pump to run at lower speeds. Furthermore, the cooling impeller is optimized for each motor speed and provides reliable cooling throughout the full performance range.
