There are a LOT of ways to customize your GitHub Copilot experience — agents, skills, hooks, plugins, extensions — and honestly it can be a little overwhelming figuring out what's what. In this video I break down each one, show you how I think about them, and walk through real examples including the newly open-sourced VS Code Team Kit from Microsoft. I'll show you how to add plugin marketplaces, install plugins from the CLI, write your own custom skills, and even peek at extensions — full Node.js programs built on the Copilot SDK that can do things like watch your Azure DevOps builds. Whether you're using Copilot CLI, VS Code, or the new VS Code Agents app, all of this stuff works across the board.
