Powered by GitHub Copilot and CodeQL, code scanning autofix streamlines the process of remediating security issues found during code scanning, covering over 90% of CodeQL alert types for JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and Java.

Previously, developers had to manually triage alerts, review documentation, and implement fixes - a time-consuming process that diverted resources from feature development. But with code scanning autofix, AI generates a code suggestion and detailed explanation directly in the pull request, enabling teams to dramatically reduce the time spent on security remediation.

Code scanning autofix marks a major step forward in GitHub's vision for code security - an environment where "found means fixed." It's now available in public beta for all GitHub Advanced Security customers, allowing developers to stay focused on building features while ensuring a more secure codebase.
