Type Casting is the process of converting the value of one data type to another data type.

Widening Casting conversion happens automatically. In Widening Casting, the lower data type is converted into the higher data type. Hence there is no loss in data. This is why it happens automatically.

In Narrowing Casting, we manually convert one data type into another using the parenthesis. In this Type of Casting, the higher data types are converted into lower data types. And there is the loss of data. This is why this type of conversion does not happen automatically.
