In this video i explain how to create the texture used in my sun particle tutorial. For a good or even better result than mine take your time, add more details, have a look on fotos.

The tip of use no pure white is usefull in many cases, but not in this one... my mistake. ;) In this case just ignore it.

I forgot to record my cursor. Sorry for that. I tryed to fix it with red highlights.
