In this video, we look at generics in Java.

Generic methods allow us to create functions that work regardless of the data type needing to be returned or used.

Generic classes allow us to initialize a class with variables and methods that are able to be generic. That's why when we create ArrayLists, we declare the type of ArrayList during instantiation, so that those variables can be set when the class object is created.
