There are many things to consider when running a production HashiCorp Vault environment. One of the most important is how your environment will respond to a large volume of requests, especially if those requests are caused by misbehaving clients. Vault provides client rate limiting to easily enforce API rate limits against the Vault API. This is a great built-in feature, especially since many applications require a dedicated reverse proxy to accomplish the same thing.

In this video, we take a look at Vault Resource Quotas. We take a look at how to implement them, their path-matching behavior, and some practical considerations when using them.
