The author's bio: My name is Tulasi Acharya. Originally from Nepal, I had my Ph.D. from a US university. I completed my master's degree in English from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu. I also taught English and Journalism courses at colleges in Nepal, where I authored textbooks on mass communication and journalism. I have published short stories, poems, and articles in Nepali journals, national newspapers, and online. I moved to the United States in 2008 to pursue a Master's degree in Professional Writing and subsequently earned a third master's degree in Women's Studies and a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy. I love to write. I love teaching. I taught at Florida Atlantic University in Florida, University of New Hampshire and Manchester Community College in New Hampshire, and National American University. My research interests are disability, policy, gender and sexuality, marginalized narratives, critical theory, and post colonialism, including creative/professional writing and translation.
