Installing JDK for Windows:
1. Download the SDK.
2. Install the .exe file.
3. Press the Start Button, then click "My Computer".
4. Click the 'Local Disk'.
5. Click Program Files.
6. Click the Folder 'Java'.
7. Click the folder 'jdk...'
8. Click the folder 'bin'
9. Right-click any of the applications inside the folder bin, and click 'Properties'
10. Copy the text beside the 'Location' text (e.g. C:\Program FIles\Java\jdk1.6.0_12\bin)
11. Go to the start menu, and right-click on 'Computer' and click properties from the drop-down menu.
12. Click 'Advanced system settings'.
13. Click on the 'Environment Variables' from the pop-up.
14. Click the 'New...' button.
15. In the Variable name, type 'Path'.
16. In the Variable value, paste the text you copied before.
17. You are done! (If you want check if it worked, go to your command line and type in 'javac' and if a big list of words come up, then it worked.)
Installing JDK for Mac:
1. Press the Apple Logo at the top-left of your screen.
2. Click 'Software Update'.
3. Update and install.
Installing JDK for Linux:
1. Download the SDK.
2. Install the package.
3. Add the location of Java's bin sub-directory to the system path by editing the .bashrc file in your home directory. For instance, add PATH = $PATH:/usr/Java/bin
