In this video, I’m setting up an Asus all-in-one computer. During the setup, you’ll learn a trick I use to create a local account instead of using a Microsoft account. Plus, you’ll learn about a number of settings I change right from the beginning. These tricks and changes are dependent on a computer being an Asus – they can be any make or model.

This particular computer came with Windows 10 installed so you’ll get to see how I upgraded it to Windows 11. I’ve tried to make the process as clear as possible but if you have any questions, feel free to use the comment area below.

A vocabulary note: I use the term “transceiver” when most of you will probably know it as a “dongle.” I picked up that term years ago and just use it without thinking. Technically, “transceiver” is a correct term for the device – it’s just not used as often anymore.
