HackerRank Cut the Sticks challenge is how we can find out how many individual steps are required to substract a minimum element from all the non-zero elements of the array.

This video shows HackerRank problem solving for the above challenge.

The solution is:

👉 Sort the array 06:53
👉 store the length of the array to the list
👉 Iterate the input array from index = 1 07:54
👉 Compare the current index value and previous index value
👉 Then add subtract that index value from the length of the array

This HackerRank cut the sticks solution java has got less than 20 lines of code.
