From • Twelve Tone Minesweeper
Description of the algorithm: Every time a new game is started, a twelve tone row is (pseudo)randomly generated. It is then chosen whether the row will be played normally, inverted, in retrograde, or inverted and in retrograde. Whenever a effective move is played, a note is played and randomly harmonized*. There is then a 11/12 probability to move on to the next note in the row. When a row is completely played, how the row will be played is chosen again and the cycle continues.
*If a C is played in the tone row, the random harmonization is overridden and Cmaj7 is played. In addition, regardless of what the last note is, a Cmaj7 is added on victory.
