In this video I show you how to create abstract base classes in python 3 using the abc library's ABCMeta class and abstractmethod decorator. The use of abstract base classes enables you to specify object behavior at the top of your inheritance hierarchy, thus creating a stable architecture that is extended via subclasses to implement the specified behavior. To illustrate and explain the concepts of abstract base classes in python I create a simple fleet simulation application.
