For Music Folder Player starting with version 3.x it is important to disable the Android battery optimization.

If you choose to ignore this, the app will likely not work as you expect. The most common problem will be that the app gets killed by Android or stops playback when the screen of off for a while. There is nothing I can do on my side to prevent this. You need to tell Android not to do this by disabling the battery optimization.

Please don't blame me for that and the bad user experience in the dialog. The dialog with the apps list comes from Android and I have no idea why Google implemented this in such a bad way instead of handling this just like the other permissions you see in this video. Thank Google and their UX team for that.
