How to make Item Count in Figma
This post was inspired by @anronkai 1000 followers post. So I decided to do small interaction that can simulate like or follower count.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀?
Those are the small, everyday events in digital products that can be a great way to enhance the overall experience for your users.
Examples include what happens when you favorite a tweet or the way an app updates its interface after a task is completed.
In this tutorial, I'm going to show you another way how to prototype a micro-interaction like an Item Count in Figma.
You'll learn how to make this animation for when a user clicks on the menu heart/like icon to execute additional actions. Used often to simulate like count or follower count.
Now, I know it might not look like much, but that's the whole point. Microinteractions are supposed to be useful, but not intrusive.
Wrap up
There are many ways to make the menu slide in/out animations. It doesn't need to load separate icons, it can load all icons on click, like the fade from 0 to 100% opacity.
