javascript bizzare debugging event
This happened when debugging an svelte app. listed here:

Debugger shows that the if statement is completely ignored and executes with no control flow, passing through the "if" test and running both "if/else" block
Any clue what is this ?
Google chrome version running is 78.0.3904.108, don't know exactly what is the V8 version for JavaScript
