Rack Explained For Ruby Developers
Have you ever wondered what the heck is Rack? Well, it's a critical part of Ruby web development because it connects web servers & web frameworks together.
It's a layer between those two components & it's what makes everything work.
Rack also provides an interesting feature called "Rack Middleware" which allows you to write small applications which sit in the middle of the communication between the web server (like Puma) & Rails to allow you to log requests, block access from certain clients, server static assets, etc.
