Welcome to the first episode of CodeBytes. CodeBytes is going to be a bi-weekly series released on a Sunday and a Tuesday where we discuss very basic sections of Python code to develop a greater understanding of how programming works. Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss an episode!

In this episode we take our first look at the Python IDLE editor and discuss what a shell is as well as the differences between the shell and a python file. We then write a very basic "hello world" program and save it to a new python file.
