Matplotlib is a plotting library for Python. Users can access an object-oriented API for embedding plots into applications using GUI-toolkits. Additionally it provides a MATLAB-like interface for those familiar with that environment. It is an open-source plug-in with an active dev community. This talk will give a short introduction to Matplotlib itself and its structure. The focus is on basic functions and customization options which are of use for scientists and needed to produce figures of publication quality.
In this talk Morten Stornes introduces us to Matplotlib in a talk entitled "Matplotlib: Plotting in Python".
