2D Light Simulation - Ray Tracing CPU Render: Creative Coding Showcase (JavaScript)
This is a showcase of a set of creative coding renders I produced. They're made of a 2D Light Simulation using a ray tracing CPU rendering technique. Basically a light ray checks collision with objects in the scene using linear algebra. It then calculates the normal of the object at the point of intersection and uses that to calculate either reflection or refraction. This process repeats for multiple steps and on thousands of rays consecutively.
