JavaScript Variable Scope vs Python/C/Java/Ruby/PHP - const & let To The Rescue!
This video covers how JavaScript handles variable assignment (hoisting) vs. other C based languages. It will make it clear why let and const were added in ES6 (ECMAScript)!
You don't need to know Python, C, Java, or Ruby to compare. We will just be doing basic loops and functions to illustrate and they all look/work pretty much the same (thank you C!).
I use repl instead of VS Code so it's easy to hop between languages without doing a lot of environment work.
