Welcome back to The Revit Mind!
In this video, we continue the new Revit Automation Series with a practical Dynamo script designed to save time when working with linked Revit files.
This script allows you to automatically copy elements directly from a Revit link into your current project. Instead of manually selecting elements one by one and using “Paste Aligned to Same Place,” the script lets you transfer entire categories in just a few clicks.
The workflow is simple:
Select the linked Revit model
Choose the category you want to copy
Run the script
That’s it.
You can use this workflow for:
Shafts
Floors
Columns
Walls
And many other categories
This can be especially useful in large coordination projects between architectural and structural models where repetitive manual work can waste a lot of production time.
If you found the script useful and want to support the channel, you can download it from the Gumroad link above.
