Alignment tools are a critical feature within FactoryTalk View Studio. They allow the user to properly position objects such as buttons, images, displays and much more. An experienced HMI developer will utilize these tools to make sure that the application looks sharp to the user as well as the customer they’re developing for.

There are several tools within the panel which help the user align the objects based on the desired location. One may use them to align the objects to the right, left, center or space them out evenly. Although the alignment functionality may seem familiar from other tools such as word processors, it doesn’t quite work like in those software packages. FactoryTalk View Studio has a particular way to leverage these functions; we will explore them within the video.
