PLATFORM INDEPENDENT is the most important feature of JAVA, and this enables us to develop DISTRIBUTED APPLICATIONS. JAVA supports CROSS-PLATFORM and ARCHITECTURAL NEUTRAL. JAVA says write once run anywhere. C vs JAVA, Javac generates BYTECODE whereas CC generates exe file with binary code(Machine code).
