Lockit Timecode - Firmware 8 | TC & Sync Offset explained
Dear Lockit Timecode users,
with the new Firmware 8 we introduce the Timecode and Sync Offset feature. You can individually adjust this offset for each Lockit device in the display menu. It works for the Lockit, LockitSlate and Lockit+
Important to know: The Lockit with Offset output itself is still running in perfect sync with the other Lockit devices. Just the Timecode and Sync output through cable has this offset.
Why should you need an Offset output at all?
Use Case 1:
There are cameras that always lag behind for one or more frames even though they get the correct timecode fed in.
The reason is an internal processing delay of the camera.
Use Case 2:
Virtual Production. The LED backdrops are always behind the “Studio Master Clocks” due to processing delay of the virtual production server.
