Here's a couple of bindings and commands I use regularly when working with Vim's command-line mode. If you know about other cool bindings or tips, please post them in the comments section.

Use tab to complete commands.
Up/Down arrows to navigate the history.
C-D to show all possible completion options.
Copying information into the command line.
C-R C-W | The Word under the cursor.
C-R C-F | The Filename under the cursor.
C-R C-P | The Filename under the cursor, expanded with path.
C-R C-A | The WORD under the cursor.
C-R C-L | The line under the cursor.
Using the normal command.
Repeat the last command: @;
View command history using the history command.
Redirect command output to a register or file using the redir command.
