We cover how to make a macro run automatically as soon as an Excel workbook is opened which is especially useful if for example, you want a message box to greet the user when the workbook opens. We first set up a macro which consists of a message box welcoming the user to the Covid-19 tracker file. We then use the Workbook Open method to ensure this macro is called or executed as soon as the Excel workbook is opened. Finally, we test that the method works by closing and re-opening the file.
