This is a video demonstration of BirdEyeD. BirdEyeD is a Python-based project that allows you to host a local website with a video feed of a web camera. Its targeted purpose is to allow for taking photos of birds (and other wildlife) at feeders. This version of the program was submitted as the final project of the CS50x course.
The website is hosted using Flask. Camera operation is through OpenCV2-python3. The user database is through SQLite3 and SQLAlchemy. The setup in the video is on a Raspberry Pi 4 4GB with a cheap web camera and is being viewed through a web browser on my laptop.
Future plans include:
-Building an AI that is able to automatically recognize and take images of birds
-Ability to take videos
-Ability to view saved pictures through the website
-Ability to add more users through the website
