What is Functional Programming?

It is a way of programming that follows a declarative programming model. It tells compiler what to do except how to do. This functional programming is introduced by Java8. We will see new features introduced by Java8 in upcoming videos.

Functional Programming is declarative while Object oriented programming is imperative. What does that mean ? Its simple to under in F.P. , the computation functions or functions are like mathematical functions that except input values and return an output value. While in Imperative functions it accepts input arguments and return a value.
