We use our knowledge of lists and dictionaries to understand how series and datafarmes are constructed in Python using the Pandas library.
The notation shown here is widely used in online references and text books when authors would refer to series and data frame examples.
The Series and the Dataframe are two of the three fundamental data structures in the Pandas library. A Series is a one-dimensional array and a dataframe is a two-dimensional array. Being familiar with this concept is an important pre-requisite when learning the Pandas library. We will use examples on how to create series and data frames using lists and dictionaries.
