Maya to After Effects Workflow Tutorial
This is a video tutorial demonstrating how to transfer motion data from Autodesk Maya to Adobe After Effects and use this tool to accelerate production work and save render time.
Maya ASCII (.ma) is used as the main file format to transfer data between Maya and After Effects and can also be used to share motion capture data between many effects programs including PFTrack, PFMatchit, MatchMover, Nuke and many more.
This same process can be used with other 3D animation software such as 3ds Max and Cinema4D using plug-ins.
