8051 microcontroller - Timer Programming
In this video discussed about the timer operation of 8051 micro controller. Timers are used for generation of fixed time delay in micro controller. 8051 micro controller is having 2 timers i.e timer 0 and timer 1 which can be programmed in 8 bit, 13 bit and 16 bit modes using special function registers. Time delay generated using timers depends upon micro controller crystal frequency and the initial value that need to be loaded in to the timers registers are calculated using simple equation.
