Learn Basic Programming by example - A Simple Image Processor - Part 10.2
Learn how to program in PureBasic. Follow the development step by step of a simple image processing application.
In this two-part episode, I add the Save and Save As features. I create a Save and a Save As... menu entry in the File menu. The Save menu saves the image back to its original file and format. The Save As menu opens a child window that lets the user choose the file path (TextGadget and/or SaveFileRequester), the image format (ComboBoxGadget), and the (optional) compression level (TrackBarGadget).
I also enabled or disabled the Save menu depending on whether the image has been modified or not.
The second part of this episode is dedicated to implementing the Save and Save As features.
