8D problem solving approach
The eight disciplines or 8D approach is used for effective problem solving. While the approach was originally developed by the automotive industry, it is widely used by other industries. The aim of the 8D approach is to establish permanent corrective action by identifying, correcting, and eliminating the root cause of a problem. Therefore, this approach is very useful in continuous improvement projects.
