rF2 simple server host tutorial
VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL THAT I DIDN'T MENTION IN THE VIDEO:
YOU NEED TO HAVE A PUBLIC IP ADDRESS, OTHERWISE IT WON'T WORK.
Check with your internet provider if your plan offer public ip or if you can upgrade to a plan that has it.
How to set up and open a server for rFactor2 on your own computer to play with friends.
first time cofiguration
Fixate your IPV4 adress
Forward the following ports to your fixed ip:
TCP/UDP 54297
TCP 27013
64297
UDP 27014
27015
64298
64299
After this is done, you just need to do the following steps each time you want to host a server
1- Open your game
2- Create MAS2 file with mod package
3- Open the dedicated server app and host the server
The Mod Manager shortcut is used to delete the old mod packages that you created and wont use anymore.
