Priority Flow control (PFC)
This video will explain how the Priority Flow Control (PFC) protocol operates in the Media Access Control (MAC) header. This is based on IEEE 802.1Q. PFC can facilitate lossless Ethernet. This can be very useful in Data Center environments, often referred to as Data center bridging (DCB). PCF provides a link level flow control mechanism that can be controlled independently for each frame priority. The goal of this mechanism is to ensure zero loss under congestion in DCB networks.
