Batch-to-One Data Mapping
The 9th installment in our Introduction to MapForce series on data mapping, transformation, and conversion shows you how to merge a batch of files to a single output file and sort the results.
In this example, multiple JSON files are transformed to a single XML file, though this approach can be used for database, Excel, PDF, text, EDI, and other data formats.
Two approaches to merging data from multiple files into a single file are covered:
1. Specifying a collection of files in the same directory using a wildcard
2. Selecting batch files based on a list of file names stored in a different directory
