Hello,

To make a field value unique in a form, till date the developer has to write trigger or stored procedure to make a field value unique.

But now this is automated in Kaizen Framework.

Now you can simply tick the "Is Unique" checkbox while adding and field and Kaizen will automatically validate the field value.

Example: If you have a field "Customer Name" in the form and wants to make it unique. Just go to the field properties form and check "Is Unique". This will not allow user to enter the same data in "Customer Name".

You can also have various conditions for making a field unique. And to do that, you can enter column names of that Table in "Additional Field(s) for Unique" as comma separate.

Example: If you want the field "Customer Name" to be unique as per company then, you have to add the company field in "Additional Field(s) for Unique". If you want "Customer Name" unique with the company and location combination then you have to add company column name and location column name as comma separated in "Additional Field(s) for Unique".

You can however still have the option to write trigger or stored procedure if you want.
