The let and const keywords were introduced in ECMAScript 2015 (ES6) to declare variables in JavaScript.

let and const were introduced for variable declarations.
The let keyword is used to declare variables whose values can be reassigned.
The const keyword is used to declare constants. Once a value is assigned to a constant, it cannot be reassigned.
