Why we chose the React Native framework
Idea Drop mobile app has been rebuilt on a framework called React Native. It is a fairly new framework that was open sourced by Facebook in 2015 but is already seen and recognised as the cutting edge of technology in the mobile development world.
With React Native we now maintain only one code base (rather than one for iOS and another one for Android). This means that we have halved our development time as we only have to code a new feature once and as a result accelerated our mobile app roadmap. We will be able to deliver many more new features and updates to Idea Drop mobile app in a shorter period of time.
There were many other reasons why our development team decided to use React Native.
