This lesson explains about the Oracle Dictionary table called DICT. It also gives some example commands using DBA_USERS.
Oracle stores all the information about the database in to a group of several tables and views called Dictionary. These object are vital for the database to function. Using these objects we will get to know about the users, tables and other objects that are stored in the database.
Dictionary also gives information about the performance metrics of the database.
